Join us for a systematic exploration of the notation system developed by Jessica's maestros and its way of organizing tango’s movement vocabulary.
The essence continues to follow Jessica's style:
Learn the map → Understand the language → Discover what you can do with it
We’ll break down the figures and sequences that form the system, understand their internal structure, and explore the movement principles that make them possible.
Best for you if you want to: Build from zero (or rebuild) a solid Tango Argentino vocabulary. Understand how classic Tango Argentino figures are constructed and interconnected. Clarify movements as you learn them (or if you already know them). Develop a more systematic understanding of Tango Argentino. Gain tools for learning (and creating) new figures without simply copying them.
You can join with or without a dance partner, and learn both roles.
No previous experience required.

Jessica Gerdel is a certified Tango Argentino teacher and movement researcher based in Vienna. Her teaching combines tango technique with body awareness, connection, musicality and improvisation, helping dancers move beyond memorizing figures and understand their bodies, listen and adapt, dance with different partners, and gradually develop a tango that feels like their own.
She teaches dancers of different levels through regular classes, Focused Prácticas, Tango Immersion Weekends, a Tango & Movement Pedagogical Training, and special events, creating a welcoming learning environment that values curiosity, connection and the joy of dancing with different people.
