Prefers: old school systems, i.e. analog playback with vintage high-end equipment; plays his own shellac transfers & remastered recordings. Formerly an amateur musician (electric bass, dance music). Tango dancer since 1999. Swing since around 2006, before that salsa, techno, rock'n roll acrobatics and standard dances. Tango DJ since around 2005. Reason for starting: Despair over the catastrophic sound quality of the tango overdubs that were widespread at the time. It was "absolutely uninspiring" for improvisation.
