A tango course is a weekly learning format that builds up Argentine tango systematically, level by level. Most courses in Wien follow a clear progression: taster class (a one-off introductory hour), beginner course (8–12 weeks of fundamentals), intermediate (refinement of technique and musicality) and advanced (stylistic maturity, complex figures, improvisation).

A typical course unit lasts 60–90 minutes and costs 10–20 euros per evening, often discounted when booked as a block. Most schools in Wien rotate partners during class — you do not need a fixed dance partner to start. Joining mid-term is sometimes possible; ask the school directly.
