Join us for a special tango weekend with Slava Ivanov dedicated to musicality, flow, and discovering new inspiration in tango.
As a dancer, teacher, DJ, and passionate explorer of tango music, Slava approaches dance through the dialogue between movement and music. His workshops invite us not only to improve our technique, but also to listen more deeply, recognize musical ideas, and discover new possibilities for expression on the dance floor.

?€ 18:00–19:00 — Inspiration in Giro
How can we make turns feel more dynamic, fluid, and inspiring?
In this workshop we will work on giros in both directions, paying special attention to the dynamics of rotation. We will explore synchronization between partners, the flow of movement, and ways to create a more connected and effortless turning experience.

🎵 13:00–14:00 — Musical Boleo
A workshop that goes beyond technique.
Not only How do we do a boleo? but also When should we do it?
We will explore how boleos can highlight musical accents, double-time passages, and special moments in the music. Most importantly, we will ask what role boleos can play in our dance and how they can become a meaningful musical choice rather than simply a figure.
🎼 19:00–20:00 — Melody & MotifLecture-workshop with practical exercises
A workshop dedicated to musicality and active listening.
We will explore melody, motifs (small recurring melodic patterns), ways of listening to tango music, and how to dance to orchestras or pieces we do not know well.
This lecture-workshop was first presented in Vilnius earlier this year and continues to evolve as an ongoing exploration of musicality in tango.
The session includes both listening and dancing, allowing participants to immediately apply the ideas in practice.

🍷 Saturday Night — Milonga del Vino with TDJ Slava Ivanov
The musical journey continues on the dance floor.
Slava has been DJing tango events since 2001. Fascinated by tango musicality, he approaches building tandas from a dancer's perspective: not only choosing beautiful music, but discovering how it can be danced and what hidden treasures it contains.
For him, each tanda is an opportunity to share those precious musical moments that he himself would love to dance to. His DJing is known for thoughtful musical choices, sensitivity to the atmosphere of the dance floor, and a deep appreciation of the beauty hidden inside tango music.
Join us for an evening of carefully crafted tandas, musical discoveries, and dancing inspired by the richness of Argentine tango.
