About

I've been captivated by tango and its magic for about four years now. Dance, lyrics, and music become one. "Am I in the tango, or is the tango in me?" Both are alive. In 2025, my piece "Tango and Emigration" (text, one actor, two musicians, and two dance couples) premiered. In QWIRtango, I appreciate the experience of how liberating it can be to switch roles in the dance. New perspectives and historical burdens enhance the enjoyment. To put it emphatically: Even a "feminine" pelvis can "propose," or a firm "male chest" can interpret. Ultimately, it's people who dance. Viva la Vida 🦋.

Biography

My style. I am what I become and take with me what I have been. I am many things. The many remain together because the individual cannot be individual, like a butterfly that is neither wing nor leg. I agree with Hannah Arendt: "I want to understand." But ultimately, I always arrive at "feeling," whose roots extend far beyond my life and generations (collectively). Professionally, "humanity" as such has always been my interest in multiple contexts. Tango gives me so much: freedom, creativity, connection, warmth, but also the realization of being lost, and the search for paradise. For some time now, I have immersed my being in the music and experienced the great, also blissful challenge of accompanying people with this perfect music of the masters through my work (yes, it is work).
