About the Event
Already the 4th time: Majo & Rodri back to Vienna! From 20 to 23 August 2026 all activities are held at Atelier SOL – a tango weekend with Majo Martirena & Rodrigo Fonti, three seminars, a milonga with show and a tango concert.
Thursday, 20 August
19:00–20:30 Pre-Milonga Class: High Quality of Connection – How to share my dance with my partner? Connection and communication in the couple, exploring possibilities of the embrace and the body guides for circular movements.
20:30–00:00 Milonga SOL with a show by Majo & Rodrigo.
Friday, 21 August
18:00–21:15 Seminar 1: Let’s get Hooked – Variations of Ganchos.
Saturday, 22 August
12:00–15:15 Seminar 2: A fuego lento – Suspension, Pause and Attack – develop new colours and qualities of movement; sequences with sacadas and elements out of axis.
19:30–21:00 Tango Concert with Agustina Leoni.
Sunday, 23 August
12:00–15:15 Seminar 3: Classic Structures with a New Flavour: About Form & Creativity.

Maestros & Teachers
Majo Martirena
Uruguay
Majo started dancing tango at 16 in her native Uruguay before moving to Buenos Aires. She spent six years with the DNI Tango Company & School, performing in major Buenos Aires theatres. She co-founded the "La Bicicleta" tango school in Turin and has worked with Mariano "Chicho" Frumboli, Carlitos Espinoza and Pablo Rodríguez, among others.
Rodrigo Fonti
Neuquén, Argentinien
Rodrigo comes from Neuquén in southern Argentina and began dancing tango at 16. He first trained in contemporary dance as a choreographer and performer; in 2010 he moved to Buenos Aires to dedicate himself fully to tango and toured Europe with theatre productions. His style blends traditional tango with contemporary dance, looking for the personal meaning of every movement.
