About the Event

Milonga ELLA is the first international milonga in Vienna's 21st district. On Saturday 28 November 2026, Gabriele Kastner hosts the Christmas-time edition — from 9 pm to 4 am at Step&Swing on Schloßhoferstraße, with a sprung dance floor, a lounge and a small bar. The music comes from Matjaž Kovše, one of Slovenia's best-known DJs. At midnight the guest professors Batuhan Boy and Nida İnceoğlu from Istanbul dance their show. Snacks, sweets and fruit are available all evening. On Saturday and Sunday afternoon the two also teach two workshop packages: close embrace and vals. The workshops require registration and a partner.

Batuhan Boy

Istanbul, Türkei

Batuhan Boy has been teaching at Academia Del Tango Istanbul together with Nida İnceoğlu since 2018. The two became Turkish tango champions in 2019 and again in 2022. At the 2023 European Tango Championship, with 90 couples from 28 nations competing, they won the Tango Pista and Tango Waltz titles — the first and so far only Turkish couple to do so. In the same year they danced in the final of the Mundial de Tango in Buenos Aires. They have taught in eleven cities across Turkey as well as in Italy, Greece, Serbia, Bulgaria, Germany, Hungary, Cyprus and Argentina. In Istanbul they run their own tango school and host the milonga Pof Pof on Mondays.

Nida İnceoğlu

Schloßhoferstraße 13, 1210 Vienna. The Step&Swing dance school is on the third floor of the Turek Center and there is a lift. After 6:30 pm entry is through the side entrance on Kramreiterweg. A sprung dance floor, plenty of space and a lounge with a small bar. Reachable by S-Bahn, U1, U6, bus and tram.

Workshop package I: Close embrace

Two units for intermediate and advanced dancers. Part 1 on Saturday: tango salon or tango milonguero — which one are you following? Part 2 on Sunday: expansion of the body and the limits of your own embrace. Registration required, partner required, payment on site.
