Tango Immersion is designed to bridge the gap between memorized steps and fluent movement on the dance floor.
Jessica Gerdel's Tango Immersion Program helps you understand how movement works, build a body that responds instead of reacting, adapt to different dance partners without force, and feel more at ease in social dancing.
After a few editions, dancers often notice:
◆ Less overthinking while dancing
◆ Balance and coordination becomes more reliable
◆ Connection feels clearer with different partners
◆ Close embrace becomes more comfortable
◆ Fewer things “break” mid-dance (and when they do, they recognize why and what to adjust)
How does Tango Immersion work
Unlike a standard weekly class, Jessica's Tango Immersion Weekends in Vienna offer a dedicated space to dive into the nuances of Tango Argentino:
We meet for an immersive weekend once per month and work on a topic through different angles. Each weekend includes 5 workshops, a Focused Práctica and the monthly edition of our Milonga Itinerante.
You can join the full program or the parts of your choice.
The workshops focus on tango solo technique, partner communication, and the social aspects of the dance, using somatic movement to unlock a more natural and fluid embrace and movement, with the music and different dance partners, and within different floor conditions.

This month's edition: June 20-21: Playing with techniques of contact and invasion
One of the most fascinating moments in a dancer’s development happens when they stop thinking exclusively about their own movement and begin paying attention to how space is shared, negotiated and transformed together.
Suddenly, movements that seemed unrelated reveal a common thread.
A Pasada, a Mordida, a Barrida, a Sacada, a Gancho… On the surface they look completely different tango figures. Underneath, they all explore the same question.
We'll be working on that line this weekend and look forward to exploring with you how to bring these techniques organically into your dance.
As usual, you’re welcome with and without a dance partner, and to learn both roles.
Please note that this Tango Immersion Weekend isn’t suitable for participants with zero experience. If you’re new, join the Discover Tango Argentino session at 11:30.

Now he’ll bring his international dance teaching experience as well to our Tango Weekend, and together we’ll help you take your musical dance skills to the next level.
